AND CHRIST THE LIGHT LIVES WITHIN US EVERY PERSON IS VALUABLE
We are created in the Image of God; Christ lives within us; God loves each and every one of us the best.
ALL PERSONS HAVE
spiritual equality
equal access to God
the same sorts of responsibilities
also similar opportunities to use
the gifts that God has given them.
GOD IS OUR FATHER AND WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS FAMILY
We are members of His family; we are equal. Men and women of every religion, skin color, and ethnicity participate in this equality.
All persons do not have the same abilities; some have a greater understanding. Nonetheless, God makes a way open for everyone and only expects us to live up to the measure of the Light within us.

Because God lives within us as the Light and we are created in His image, we are members of His family, all equal.
This post reminded me of the vows we took when we got married. As Quakers we wrote our own vows. We wanted to get away from the labels of husband and wife and work towards more equality. We accepted each other as Companions, Helpmates and Allies.

George Fox always deals with reality; he sees the world as it really is.
ReplyDeleteHe deals with things as they actually exist; he doesn't have idealistic or notational ideas.
He deals with the TRUTH. We should too.

Both men and women may use the gifts that God has given them.
ReplyDeleteIn a world in which people behave as if created in God's image, there would be genuine equality for all. Everyone would be free to do God's will in their lives; they would be creative and live up to the image of God within them.
Using the gifts that God has given you means that everyone may have a career.

If your gifts mean that you can write a book or paint a picture or build a house, then you should have the opportunity to do this to use your God given gifts.
